When a building becomes 40 years old, a mandatory inspection is required to making sure that the building still meets all safety standards, current building codes and to identify areas if any that are in need for repairs. After that, every 10 years thereafter, the building must undergo the same inspection processes for recertification.
All types of buildings are required to be inspected for 40-year / 10-year recertification. In Miami Dade and West Palm Beach counties, buildings with gross areas more than 2000 square feet are required to be inspected for 40-year / 10-year recertification. In Broward county, buildings with gross areas more than 3500 square feet are required to be inspected for 40-year / 10-year recertification.
In our 40-year / 10-year building recertification inspection, we inspect the building for the following:
1- Building Structural Integrity
2- Building Electrical Safety
3- Building Parking Lot Illumination
